RANCHER MAC BRAZEL

On June 14, 1947, rancher William Mac Brazel discovered debris on the Foster Ranch near Corona, approximately 75 miles north of Roswell, New Mexico. It was only after various stories about unusual incidents were circulating that Mac Brazel informed the sheriff. On July 7, 1947 Brazel informed the local sheriff’s office, which then notified the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF).

Initial Investigation:

  • Major Jesse Marcel, an officer of the RAAF, was dispatched to investigate and recover the debris.

According to the Roswell Daily Record, Bogle Ltd. Co. of Dexter sold the Lincoln County ranch property, located approximately 75 miles (over 120 kilometers) northwest of Roswell, to Dinwiddie Cattle Co. LLC.

The acquisition was part of a broader land transaction by Dinwiddie Cattle Co., aimed at expanding the company’s cattle ranching operations.

Cattle Co. can now be seen at many locations in this region.
